THE MISSION

What is Project 3x24?

It’s a Himalayan trilogy in a single continuous push. The mission is to summit Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu within a record time of 24 hours.

EVEREST

8,848.86 meters

The start point—and the moment the timer begins.

LHOTSE

8,516 meters

Second highest peak in the trilogy.

MAKALU

Third highest, completing the challenge.

24 Hours

Because this is a “triple header,” the countdown starts after summiting Everest, and all major events are completed within that 24-hour period.

Records & Targets

How the 24 Hours Will Happen

This attempt follows a focused timeline designed to reduce wasted time while keeping the effort a single continuous record window

Summit Everest (timer begins)

The record window starts at the moment Everest is summited. This is the official start point for the 24-hour objective.

Immediate push down to Camp III

After Everest is summited, the immediate push down to Camp III begins. Camp III is the transition point where the Lhotse climb begins.

Summit Lhotse (key split)

From Camp III, the push to Lhotse starts, with the stated aim of completing Everest → Lhotse in 4.5 hours. This split is a core record target of the project.

Descend back toward Base Camp

After summiting Lhotse, the descent begins while a helicopter remains on standby. It sets up the transfer phase without losing time.

Helicopter transfer to Makalu Base Camp

The standby helicopter immediately flies from the Everest/Lhotse area to Makalu Base Camp.
