The Dawa
Dawa Finjhok Sherpa is a professional mountaineer and mountain guide from Nepal. He was born in Bigu Rural Municipality–1,
Lamabagar, Dolakha, in the shadow of Gaurishankar, and grew up with a deep connection to the mountains. His climbing passion started early and became a lifelong career in high-altitude expeditions.
Today, he is the climber behind Project 3×24 , a record attempt to summit Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu within 24 hours.

The Climber
Namaste, I am Dawa Finjhok Sherpa.” Dawa describes himself as a passionate climber who started his journey in 2000 as a porter on an expedition, then built his skills through training, experience, and progressive responsibility. By 2009, he guided his first climbing expedition and has continued climbing and guiding for more than two decades
His profile in the proposal emphasizes not only summit achievements, but also mountain maturity: confidence in high altitude movement, risk assessment, and a safety-first mindset even at extreme elevations.

Project 3×24 requires an unusual mix of endurance, speed, control, and decision clarity. The proposal’s project specifications describe a plan that depends on a focused execution style and clean documentation—qualities that match Dawa’s background and experience in long seasons on major peaks.
Dawa’s climbing record includes repeated Everest seasons, major 8,000-meter summits, and the kind of resilience needed for an ultra-demanding attempt.

The proposal states Dawa has climbed over 30 mountains and specifically has 13 climbs above 8,000 meters.

The proposal narrative mentions this feat "recently" (written as 2023 in the narrative), and the climbing accords table lists the "3 times in 8 days" as a world record entry (shown under 2024).
To keep the site accurate, we present the feat as stated in the proposal and keep supporting documentation in the certificates gallery.

Dawa notes that extreme climbs involve life-threatening risks at every step, and that training, altitude negotiation ability, and risk assessment remain central to his approach. Project 3×24 also includes clear safety and tracking considerations in its specifications, including Garmin inReach for safety and live tracking.
